First steps to develop and expand framework for cooperation to support planned smart city projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia

Waiys (or The Company), a leading innovator in creating a sustainable bridge between excess energy and the exponentially growing demand for power for the High-Performance Computing industry, today announces it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a strategic collaboration with Smart Cities Company (SCC), Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) based Developer of Smart Cities mega projects across KSA and Tunisia in Joint Venture with Peace City. World (PCW), a UK based Developer of Smart Cities world-wide.

The parties share a commitment to deliver sustainable, cost effective and energy efficient solutions that can support the development of essential digital and energy infrastructure for planned Smart City projects as part of Saudi Vision 2030; and they share a positive market outlook for the capture and utilisation of excess energy from traditional and renewable sources to create new commercial value and enhanced ESG standards.

The Company is honoured to work with SCC to explore opportunities to support the ambitious goals of Vision 2030 and looks forward to developing and expanding a framework for cooperation across multiple live SCC/PCW projects.

Waiys is delighted to announce the collaboration with SCC today, marking another important step in the development of Waiys’  unique and powerful ESG solution. The MENA region especially Saudi Arabia is a core target market for us given the scale of opportunity to support Vision 2030’s goals of digitalisation and economic diversification, the reduction of wasted energy on the path to net-zero emissions, and the growing requirement for data sovereignty.
