WAIYS is committed to UN sustainability goals

Our commitment

We incorporate ESG factors in all our activities, driven among others by the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including clean energy, water and sanitation, and gender equality, adopted by the UN member states in 2015. We also commit to the “Zero Routine Flaring by 2030” initiative introduced by the World Bank. WAIYS will report and certify relevant emission reductions to the oil and gas companies and authorities through our Assurance Management system.

Since our solutions reduce the overall environmental impact by utilizing existing investments more efficiently, they have tangible ESG impacts for all partners in the value chain. Additionally, WAIYS will always seek to be politically neutral with its origin from Norway.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

At WAIYS, developing and deploying technology solutions to tackle environmental challenges within the energy sector while supporting the exponentially growing demand for computing power is at the core of our mission. WAIYS is helping to lay the foundations for achieving the goals of the “Zero Routine Flaring by 2030” initiative introduced by the World Bank by deploying its innovative technological solutions to capture and repurpose gas that would otherwise be wasted by flaring. WAIYS’s solutions help energy producers increase resource utilization efficiency by capturing and repurposing wasted energy and, importantly, incentivize investment into much-needed renewable power projects by offering an immediate off-take,

providing cash flow that can act as an incubator for these projects which are an essential component in delivering affordable and equitable access to power for all.
Our solutions benefit the countries and local communities in which we operate through increased infrastructure investment and the creation of local jobs in exponentially growing and essential sectors. WAIYS is proud to maintain regular dialogue with governments all over the world to promote mechanisms for raising the capacity for effective climate change-related planning and management, facilitating active steps towards zero flaring, and promoting environmentally friendly solutions for digitalization.

Contribution to Net-Zero

Did you know that as part of WAIYS’s commitment to reducing environmentally damaging GHG emissions and making a positive contribution on the journey to a net-zero world we have partnered with Trefadder, Norway’s largest player in biological carbon capture, to plant trees in our home country of Norway to capture CO2, helping to create a better climate and create local jobs.
